What is SkillTrade?
SkillTrade is an Irish website where homeowners and businesses post a job for free and vetted local tradespeople get in touch. It covers every county in Ireland, from plumbers and electricians to painters and gardeners.

Nothing. Posting a job is free, there is no account to create and no commission on the work. You describe the job, matched local trades contact you, and you pick who to hire.
Post a jobHow many tradespeople will contact me?
You choose when you post: 5, 7 or 10. Once that many trades have taken your job it closes, so you compare a handful of real quotes instead of fielding endless calls.
How do I know a tradesperson is any good?
Reviews on SkillTrade can only be left by a customer whose job was actually completed through the site, so they can't be faked or bought. Trades with a Verified badge have also had their photo ID and current insurance checked.

A flat monthly subscription, starting at €39.99 per month for Basic (40 job unlocks a month), with Pro at €59.99 and Elite at €89.99. The first month is free on every plan and you can cancel anytime.
Compare plansHow is SkillTrade different from lead-selling sites?
Lead-selling sites charge per lead whether the job is real or not, and sell the same lead to a long list of trades. SkillTrade charges one flat monthly price, caps how many trades can take each job, and lets trades report dead leads. No pay-per-lead, ever.
How does verification work?
A tradesperson uploads photo ID and proof of current insurance, and a person reviews them. Approved trades get a Verified badge on their profile and in search results. Pro and Elite plans are only available to verified trades.
What areas does SkillTrade cover?
All 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland. Trades set a base location and travel radius, so the jobs they see are genuinely local to them.
Find a trade near youCan businesses use SkillTrade?
Yes. Shops, offices, landlords and other businesses can post maintenance and repair work, and business posts go to the top of trades' feeds. There are business plans with job history and priority handling.
