About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses skilltrade.ie, operated by SkillTrade Platform. By posting a job or registering an account you accept them.

What we do

We connect customers with local tradespeople. We are an introduction service. We do not carry out the work, we are not a party to any agreement you make with a tradesperson, and we do not set prices. Any contract for the work is between you and the tradesperson.

Posting a job

Posting is free and needs no account. You keep a private link to manage your job. Give accurate details, and only post work you genuinely want done. When you post, you agree that the number of tradespeople you choose can receive your contact details and get in touch about that job.

Tradespeople and businesses

You must be a genuine business, hold any qualifications, insurance, and registrations your trade requires by law, and keep your details accurate. Accounts are reviewed before they can claim jobs, and we may refuse or suspend an account.

Verified badges reflect documents supplied to us at a point in time. Customers should still satisfy themselves that a tradesperson is suitable for their job.

Subscriptions

Tradespeople and businesses subscribe monthly for access. The first month is free. There is no fixed term and you can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Fees are shown excluding VAT where stated.

Reviews and content

Reviews can only be left for a real job posted through the platform. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. We do not allow abusive content, spam, or posts made to attack a person or business. We screen content and can remove anything that breaks these rules. Tradespeople can raise a review they believe is unfair.

Our responsibility

We aim to keep the platform available and useful, but we do not guarantee that you will receive quotes, win work, or that any tradesperson or customer will perform as expected. We are not responsible for the standard of work carried out, and our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
